About the University

The JECRC Foundation has educated over 4,000 students across seven undergraduate programs during its two-decade journey. It has earned recognition for its students, faculty, and the institute as a whole.

JECRC University was established in 2012 and in 2017 it introduced the School of Law. The School of Law is affiliated to the Bar Council of India and has over 850 students enrolled, who receive top-notch legal education. The JECRC School of Law has set its sights on imparting quality legal education and maintaining high standards of legal learning and research.

The School of Law has academic autonomy and a flexible curriculum that caters to the requirements of the corporate sector, the bench and the bar.

The School of Law, JECRC University’s Moot Court Society provides a platform for students to showcase their legal skills. The previous competition saw 35+ teams from India’s top legal institutions.

About the Competition

Mooting gives a practical courtroom experience to law students, making them ready to face the real world and excel in the legal profession. Moot Court Society is elated to announce the 4th edition of the JECRC Uttam Devi Mohanlal Khtauwala Memorial National Moot Court Competition.

This prestigious event aims not only to provide a platform for legal education but also to encourage dialogue on issues that shape our society.

This year the moot problem is based on environmental law which reflects the pressing requirements of the present time.

Distinguished legal luminaries and scholars have agreed to join the event as judges and mentors, further elevating the stature of the competition. In the past Moot Court Society has successfully conducted 3 editions of the National Moot Court Competition which witnessed the zealous participation of law students all over India.

Eligibility Criteria

The competition is open to students currently enrolled in 3 years LL.B or 5 years LL.B Courses in India. Not more than 1 team may represent an institution.

General Rules

  • The competition will be conducted in 5 rounds taking place in offline mode.
  • Each team shall comprise a maximum of three students, with two speakers and one researcher (as needed).

Registration Details

  • The teams interested in participating must confirm their participation by filling up the provisional registration form given at the end of the post.
  • Upon receipt of the registration form, the Team shall be formally registered as a participant in the event, and a team code shall be generated.

Registration Fee

  • Interested teams must pay INR 1500/- via online transfer (NEFT) UPI at final registration.
  • Teams opting for accommodation must pay INR 1000/- per team per day at final registration.
